NASA for You

Occasionally closer to Earth appear some comets or asteroids, what can disturb or destroy our daily life.

NASA is in research of person, who would be capable to land on asteroid.

Above mentioned celestial body asteroid, which has got name Aphofiz, is in interplanetary matter race with speed 50 thousand kilometers per hour.

And can collide with Earth on 2036. It can destroy all world.

They think that we have to land someone on it to make a huge explosion there, before time?.

Appple will never let out iPhone

Apple Inc. Will have to find new name for its undoubted model which will be released on 2007. It apperas that such a brand is already copyrighted in 1996, by Cisco group Inc. At 2006 December they presented their VoIP phone iPhone.

It has not been known why, 10 years after brand registration, they wanted to let out iPhones. But it works as Linksys group VoIP phone. Maybe it needs bigger screen? Or it has other options.

Asteroid Apofiz Can Collide With Earth in 2029

Asteroid Apofiz-99942 could collide with earth in 2029 according to a Russian scientist. Could this happen and fulfill Wormwood of Revelation 8?

An asteroid could collide with the Earth in 2029, a Sergey Smirnov, a senior researcher at the Pulkovo Space Observatory, told a press conference in Moscow on Thursday, Interfax news agency reports.

On April 13, 2029 the asteroid Apofiz-99942 will be at its closest distance to the Earth for 200 years, Smirnov said.

The asteroid will pass the Earth at a distance of 30,000 to 40,000 km. “This crosses the geo-stationary orbit, where all the telecommunications and a lot of military satellites are,” he said.

Whatever happens, the Earth will feel the effect of the asteroid, and in the worst case, it will collide with the Earth, and at best it will damage equipment in space in the geo-stationary orbit.

BenQ unsuccessful

Beginning of this year BenQ mobile already have huge problems. In Germany started law-suite against BenQ Mobiles.

Last September they announced that they are insolvent enterprise, because can’t get investors for production units.

Remember, BenQ Mobile have been registered in 2005 October, when Taiwan BenQ bought Germans Siemens Mobile. Amount of deal was 98 million dollars.

And with this hope they wanted to get in market center?

Neverever ending combination amount.

It is not hyperbolic but scientists have counted that it is possible 43 trillion combinations with this cube.

If you would like to make all combinations with a speed one movement in one second, you would need approcinemtly 1,4 milliard years.

Newest world record is 16,5 seconds,

How fast can you?

You have possibility of 1/43trillion to be the one.

Cube was created by Rubic Erno.

Google invests in Chinese video Web site

Google's investment in Xunlei, based in Shenzhen, south China, may help it tap growing popularity for online videos in the world's second-biggest Internet market. The Mountain View, California-based company in October paid $1.65 billion to buy Youtube.com, a Web site that lets users post videos for others to watch.

Existing investors in Xunlei include IDG Venture Capital and Morningside Asia Advisory Ltd. The Chinese Web site also has partnership agreements with companies such as Motorola Inc., Sina Corp. and Shanda Interactive Entertainment Ltd., according to its Web site.

China was home to 123 million Internet users at the end of June, second only to the U.S. The world's most-populous nation may surpass the U.S. as the biggest Internet market by users within the next two years, according to William Bao Bean, an analyst at Deutsche Securities Ltd. in Hong Kong.

Hubble makes 3D dark matter map

Hubble's new 3D map shows the "clumpy" nature of dark matter

Astronomers have mapped the cosmic "scaffold" of dark matter upon which stars and galaxies are assembled.

Dark matter does not reflect or emit detectable light, yet it accounts for most of the mass in the Universe.

The study, published in Nature journal, provides the best evidence yet that the distribution of galaxies follows the distribution of dark matter.

This is because dark matter attracts "ordinary" matter through its gravitational pull.

Scientists presented details of their research during a news conference here at the 209th meeting of the American Astronomical Society (AAS) in Seattle, Washington.

It involved nearly 1,000 hours of observations with the Hubble Space Telescope.

For the first time, we can see what's really out there

Prof Carlos Frenk, University of Durham

According to one researcher, the findings provide "beautiful confirmation" of standard theories to explain how structures in the Universe evolved over billions of years.

Ordinary matter - gas, stars, planets and galaxies - makes up just one-sixth of all matter in the Universe. The remainder is unseen.

While previous studies of dark matter relied on simulations, this one details its large-scale distribution in 3D.

For astronomers, the challenge of mapping the Universe has been described as similar to mapping a city from night-time aerial snapshots showing only street lights.

Dark matter is invisible, so only the luminous galaxies can be seen directly. The new images are equivalent to seeing a city, its suburbs and country roads in daylight for the first time.

Yet puzzling discrepancies remain.

Light bending

The map of mass distribution is based on measurements of about half a million distant galaxies.

Lead author Richard Massey and his colleagues used a technique called weak gravitational lensing to detect the dark matter.

To reach us, the light from galaxies has to pass through intervening dark matter.

The study traced subtle distortions in galactic light

After many false starts, there may now finally be some signs that 2007 will mark the beginning of an IPTV boom. While some people think of IPTV as any video delivered over the Internet—and one day it may surely become that—what is officially known as IPTV today actually has very little to do with the Internet. Although the acronym stands for Internet Protocol Television, other than sharing the same underlying technology, the telephone companies that want to provide IPTV plan on delivering video over their own private networks rather than the public Internet. Proponents say that IPTV will combine the image quality of broadcast television with the two-way connectedness of things like YouTube and BitTorrent. And the number of subscribers could go up from 2.4 million worldwide today to nearly 20 million two years from now.

Besides the telcos, Microsoft (MSFT) also has high hopes for IPTV since it provides the underlying software to 16 telecom companies around the world who are either deploying or testing IPTV services. These include AT&T in the U.S., British Telecom and Singapore Telecom.

CIA - base

The Central Intelligence Agency publishes and updates the online directory of Chiefs of State and Cabinet Members of Foreign Governments weekly. The directory is intended to be used primarily as a reference aid and includes as many governments of the world as is considered practical, some of them not officially recognized by the United States. Regimes with which the United States has no diplomatic exchanges are indicated by the initials NDE.

Governments are listed in alphabetical order according to the most commonly used version of each country's name. The spelling of the personal names in this directory follows transliteration systems generally agreed upon by US Government agencies, except in the cases in which officials have stated a preference for alternate spellings of their names.

NOTE: Although the head of the central bank is listed for each country, in most cases he or she is not a Cabinet member. Ambassadors to the United States and Permanent Representatives to the UN, New York, have also been included.
